Definícia derivácie

Nech je daná funkcia f(x) a bod x₀ÎD(f).  Funkcia f(x) má deriváciu v bode x₀, ak existuje limita podielu 

Túto limitu označujeme znakom f‘(x₀)  nazývame ju deriváciou funkcie v bode x_0.
